Frequently Asked Questions
What organization has ownership of Jewel?
Is Jewel available to be adopted?
Not at this time. She will not go up for adoption until we have her rehabilitated and stable – whatever that may look like for her. As soon as she is available, we’ll make sure to post that update.
Where is Jewel currently located?
Jewel is located in Rockingham, Virginia with her Foster family.
Where can I donate to help with Jewel’s medical expenses?
You can visit Jewel’s GoFundMe page by clicking here or visiting the “Donate” link at the top or bottom of any page of this website. Her medical care is detailed through not only the blog on this website but also the GoFundMe updates. Receipts for her medical expenses are also shown in the updates on her GoFundMe page so everyone knows exactly where the money being donated is going! Every little bit helps so anything you are willing to give to go toward her care is very much appreciated.
Is there an Amazon list where I can order something she needs and have it shipped to her?
Yes! We have set up an Amazon list that has the food that she eats as well as treats she enjoys and the pill pockets that we use to give her her medications. We are happy to accept these items for Jewel to keep her as happy as she can be! Thank you for thinking to send her something for her belly! You can access the Amazon List for Jewel by clicking here.
I have ideas or suggestions for helping Jewel, or I would like to help in another way – how can I reach out to you?!
Please visit the “Contact Us” page by clicking on that link at the top or bottom of any page on this website. We’d be so thrilled to hear from you. Jewel would be grateful for anything you have to share with her!
Is there a way to receive notifications when updates on Jewel are posted?
Great question! And yes! You can subscribe to Jewel’s updates by visiting the home page of this site and scrolling down toward the bottom. There is an area for you to subscribe and we know that Jewel would love to have you continue to follow her journey and root her on. We believe this girl will be able to walk again one day! We can feel it in our bones. We’d be so happy for you to be the first to hear such great news!
